Baja & Sea of Cortez | International Space Station
“All things are...bound together by the elastic string of time. It is advisable to look from the tide pool to the stars and back to the tide pool again.”
—John Steinbeck
The Baja California Peninsula is a peninsula in Northwestern Mexico. It separates the Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of California. The Gulf of California (also known as the Sea of Cortez, Sea of Cortés or Vermilion Sea; locally known in the Spanish language as Mar de Cortés or Mar Bermejo or Golfo de California) is a marginal sea of the Pacific Ocean that separates the Baja California Peninsula from the Mexican mainland.
