Tianzhou-5 Cargo Ship Separates from China Space Station for Earth Reentry
China's Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft separated from the orbiting space station at 4:46pm Beijing Time (BJT) on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, and switched to independent flight mode after completing all assigned tasks, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The ship will conduct a controlled reentry into the Earth's atmosphere on Tuesday, Sept. 12 during which most parts of the ship will burn up.
